This came with two in a box. How they work is you plug them into an outlet and then plug other things into them. You need to download an app which is compatible with both iphone and android phones. It has a guide to walk you through installation. The premise of the plug is to control what you plug into it through the smart phone app which you downloaded and set up. It has the ability to make life very convenient. You can control things like your coffee maker, fan, heater, and lamp to name a few. It also mentions a humidifier and toaster. This is great if you are in bed and are hot and want the lamp turned on. It is also compatible with Alexa and Google assistant to speak directions to it making it even quicker to activate. There are system requirements on the box such as you need Android 4.1 or higher or IOS 9 or higher. You also need to have a wifi network. I love the features and ease of set up.
