The purpose of me purchase was for protection of plus carpet in the bedroom where I now have my office area and my recliner and I’m trying to protect the floor the best as possible from drinks being knocked over everyday traffic in general. I own one already but it didn’t have the spikes on the bottom of it for the carpet it was for hardwood which worked well but it just wasn’t big enough just for under your desk at work. The new and I just purchased is completely Square has the spikes to hold it in place and the thickness is the same as the one that would be an everyday Business Place good enough to roll a chair on or anything else in general. Durability has I would say I’m 1 to 10 at least a 8:00 till 10:00 according what you’re putting on it it would take a whole lot too bust it or to punch to it. Just remember when you first received it to make sure you unroll it with some type of heavy object to put on top of it or if you have a driveway and the sun’s out where it’s warm enough is the best place because it will warm it and it will flatten it out perfect.
